Fire Science Technology NEW PROGRAM STARTING SPRING/SUMMER 2019

This program is designed to complete training to the NFPA 1001 Firefighter I level.  Subjects include: building construction, ropes and knots, forcible entry, ventilation, water supply, salvage, overhaul, communications, fire prevention and community risk reduction.   The course requires hands-on practical skills that will take place at the Bluffton Township Fire District Training Facility.  The Training Facility campus includes a 4 Story Training Tower, 2 Story Residential, and 2 Class A Burn rooms.  Upon successful completion, students may apply to sit for the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) written certification examination for Firefighter I & II through the South Carolina Fire Academy.
