This certificate program provides training with hands-on practical skills for the NFPA 1001 Firefighter I level: building construction, ropes and knots, forcible entry, ventilation, water supply, salvage, overhaul, communications, fire prevention and community risk reduction. Students may take the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) written certification examination for Firefighter I & II through the SC Fire Academy.
