The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Cybersecurity (CYB) is a hands-on career training program that prepares students for entry-level cybersecurity technician positions. The program educates students on the essential concepts of cyber-defense and incident response, with a practical hands-on approach to security risk analysis and management. Students learn how to ethically hack in order to understand how adversaries will attack their organization’s assets. Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of online information is the primary objective of the cybersecurity professional. The knowledge and skills needed to detect, respond and recover from modern cybersecurity threats is the focus on the cybersecurity degree.
